I was born in Merriam, KS in the 80’s, and moved back home in 2014. Today I live on Wedd Street with my husband René and two doggies.
I chose Merriam for its location and served my neighborhood from day one, keeping our HOA friendly and a great place to live.
I organized my fellow lot owners to prepare to take over from the builder, and together we worked hard to keep HOA dues from raising a single dollar while I was on the board. I’m proud to say that!

For over ten years, I have participated in city meetings, served on various city boards, and helped other local candidates with their successful campaigns multiple times in Merriam. Here’s my civic resume if you will:
- I’ve attended Board of County Commissioners, Merriam Planning Committee, JoCo Parks and Rec District Board Meeting, Merriam Art Committee, Johnson County Art Committee, Merriam Court, Merriam Drainage District, and Council meetings in neighboring cities occasionally.
- I’m a regular volunteer at litter pickup events in Merriam and the region put on by Bridging the Gap and by City of Merriam, hosted one myself once!
- I volunteer at Flags4Freedom and Turkey Creek Festival.
- I was unanimously confirmed to Merriam’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board April 2017 and chosen as Chair of the Parks Board in 2019.
- I served Timber Ridge Villas HOA as a board member from 2015 to 2021 several years as Secretary and as President.
- I was a member of the Merriam 2040 Comp Plan Advisory Committee in 2019.
- I graduated Merriam Citizen’s Academy June 6th 2018.
- I graduated Johnson County Citizen’s Academy Nov 13th 2018.
- I served on the Merriam 5701 Merriam Drive committee in 2018.
I have watched other politicians come out of nowhere before their campaign, and disappear when they leave office never to be seen again. And I remain.

I retired from the HOA board in 2021 to pursue municipal politics. But I’m still very active and I love meeting new neighbors.
Today I am ready, to be your mayor. I will lead this city to cut costs, end corporate welfare, reduce taxes EVERY YEAR. Not just the mil rate, but the dollar amount. Because we buy our groceries with dollars, not “mils”.
